This blog borrows its title from the beautiful book by Richard Bach, a favourite with my son and I. It is dedicated to those left behind following a death that goes against the natural order of life. It is for parents who have to live on when their child passes on, for other family members who loved dearly, for shell shocked friends in the prime of life who suddenly come face to face with the question of mortality. This blog will share the experience of a mother embracing pain and the deepest of sorrows and transcending it. It will curate pieces from others who were deeply impacted by the death of a 28 year old who exuded life. It will map our collective journey of restoration, healing and hope as we live and honour his legacy of love and compassion and see glimpses of him in the life of every child whose lives we touch through the Upamanyu Mallik Initiatives.
